Describe your First Year Experience in one or two words: Takeoff, Harmony

I’d love to hear about your career journey. Can you talk about what led you here and your decision to join Thoughtworks?

My First Year Experience at Thoughtworks has been nothing short of phenomenal. From the beginning, I felt supported, not just as a young professional entering the workforce but as a software developer entering the field after a short but intensive bootcamp. Starting as a new developer with a non-traditional background can be daunting, but because of Thoughtworks University, the endless learning opportunities, and the abundance of mentorship, I was able to get accustomed to the job quickly, enough to be promoted to Consultant before hitting my one year mark. 

Once my heart was set on it, I was able to connect with various Thoughtworkers working on data to learn more about how I can get involved. Fast forward to today and I am actively working on machine learning on my project. If Thoughtworks didn't have such a strong culture of learning, collaboration, and community, I don’t think I would have been able to get involved in this fascinating niche in my very first year. It's a rare culture to find and it is one that I cherish. I cannot recommend a better place to work, let alone a better place to start your career in tech!
