Thoughtworks Australia named one of Australia’s Best Workplaces™ for Women

One of just 30 organizations recognized in the inaugural Women’s Best Places to Work List
Thoughtworks Australia, achieved 50 percent women and underrepresented gender minorities across the business in Australia, through its unwavering commitment to nurturing diverse talent pools and international hiring

Thoughtworks, a global technology consultancy that integrates strategy, design and engineering to drive digital innovation, has been recognized for its culture of empowering and celebrating the contributions of women in the inaugural Best Workplaces™ for Women List 2022. Earlier this year, Thoughtworks Australia was ranked in Best Workplaces list 2022 in the medium sized companies category by Great Place To Work for the second time in a row.

Surveyed by the leading Great Place To Work® Institute, the Best Workplaces for Women™ List 2022 aims to highlight organizations across Australia committed to fostering equity in the workplace, ensuring female employees feel safe, heard, challenged and valued. Thoughtworks was named in the list of 30 organizations in Australia, through an in-depth survey of women voices across companies in the country.

“We are extremely grateful for our women cohort at Thoughtworks, as they bring on board indispensable value amidst today’s complex technology landscape. These empowered, driven and change-making women are at the heart of our strategy in helping shape the rapidly evolving sector, through diverse perspectives. Focusing on gender equality and equal representation helps us set the right foundations to make Thoughtworks a home for all technologists - so we are thrilled to be counted among the country’s best workplaces for women,” said Kristan Vingrys, managing director at Thoughtworks Australia.

For us, the exemplary contributions of our women leaders, continues to be instrumental for competitive advantage as we tackle new and emerging challenges in the industry. We have a proud history of championing women in tech and place great emphasis on diversity, inclusivity and equity. Enabling us to benefit from a collaborative, diverse and inclusive culture, our focus is committed towards supporting more women in tech and their strong presence in decision making.”

Chief transformation officer, Ange Ferguson, was recognized in B+T Women Leading Tech Awards in the ‘Executive Leader’ category, earlier this year. Thoughtworks Australia achieved 50 percent women and underrepresented gender minorities across the business in Australia through its unwavering commitment to nurturing diverse talent pools and international hiring. Solving key challenges of pay parity in the industry, the team continues building pathways for leadership and the right support system to take advantage of the latest innovations in technology.

Thoughtworks continues investing in creating the most valuable women’s workplace experiences, ensuring they know they have the support, space to have an impact, confidence to thrive and to ensure they feel valued in the workplace.  Ultimately, Thoughtworks hopes it is contributing to the elevation of women in technology, on a larger, industry-wide scale, doing so through programs like its global Women in Leadership Development (WiLD) program.

Pallavi Johnson, head of People and Talent at Thoughtworks Australia said, “As a company that is home to extraordinary women technologists, we’re humbled to be included in the inaugural Australia’s Women Best Workplaces List 2022. This recognition speaks volumes about our focused efforts over the years to inspire, drive and foster a safe space for women in the organization and across the tech industry.”
