Perla Villarreal

Based in Houston, Perla is the Technical Assistant for the Office of the CTO & the Technology Advisory Board (TAB). As a part of her role Perla is the Product Owner of the Thoughtworks Technology Radar and supports the tech-centered structures at Thoughtworks. 

Before this role, Perla spent time on the ground as a Software Consultant helping clients build products as a tech lead, developer, and growing data engineer. Outside of Thoughtworks, Perla spends time advocating for women in technology; she’s served on the Grace Hopper Conference (GHC) Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee for the past few years. 

Perla received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
