With the popularity of embedded HTTP servers increasing, so has the technique of out-of-container functional testing. That is writing tests at the boundary of the system, using a mock container to provide both fast feedback and high coverage. Servers such as Jetty and tools like Plasma for the .Net platform can provide a significant reduction in the time it takes to run your test suite.
