Will Amaral

I am the Technical Assistant to Thoughtworks' Global Technology team where I support thought leadership and industry initiatives, including the Technology Advisory Board (TAB), and act as the product owner for the Thoughtworks Technology Radar.

Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, my journey began with a degree in journalism, which led me into digital content and web design, and eventually software engineering, where I've had a specific focus on user experience (UX) and functional programming. Since 2016, I've been a software developer, taking on various different roles as a tech lead at Thoughtworks. I have a BTech from Instituto Federal de São Paulo and an MBA in software engineering from the University of São Paulo. 

As a proud Latino gay man, I'm passionate about promoting diversity and equality in tech, advocating for the inclusion of LGBTQI+ people and other underrepresented groups.
