In the last technology radar, we spoke about Vumi as a platform for using USSD as a UI for feature phones. Vumi has become very stable and its open source nature gives it appeal. In our projects, we have been able to integrate with telecommunication networks seamlessly and rapidly due to the simplicity of configuration. The platform is also readily available and scalable.

Vumi integrates with telcos and allows you to build apps on top of it easily. You only have to pay for carrier charges.
