    play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of application systems. This role involves actively contributing to incident management and gaining exposure to DevOps practices. Your efforts will contribute to the smooth functioning of systems and you'll have the opportunity to learn and grow while assisting in the delivery of solutions to our clients.
    Service reliability engineers
    adopt a multifaceted approach to ensure technical excellence and operational efficiency in infrastructure. Focused on reliability, resilience, and system performance, you take the lead in promoting Site Reliability Engineering principles. By integrating automation, monitoring, and incident response strategically, you enable a shift from traditional operations to a customer-focused and agile approach.
    Infrastructure support engineers

    Senior Systems Engineer, India

     

    I've worked at Thoughtworks for 3 years and have 8 years of IT experience. My prior role in application support didn't inspire a long-term career path for me. So, I focused on improving my skills and transitioned from a Support Engineer to a Systems Engineer at Thoughtworks, with the aim of eventually becoming a developer.

     

    The role turned out to be more challenging than I expected, balancing application maintenance and improvement. As a Systems Engineer, I broadened my skills from .NET to Java and PHP, working on entire product development projects using AWS and Azure platforms. My role's inherent challenges continuously motivate me, fostering a commitment to learning and growth at every phase of my journey.

    During my seven-year journey at Thoughtworks, I have had the opportunity to experience roles in QA, BA, and PM/OA, each of which has enriched my professional growth.     I started at Thoughtworks five years ago, working in development. Since then, I've taken on different roles in project delivery, moving up from Project Manager to Delivery Principal and finally to Delivery Director. Each role has helped me refine my skills in managing project delivery. However, in 2023, I shifted to overseeing the operational side of projects as the Regional Leader for the DAMO Service Line in LATAM. This required a change in mindset.

    I chose to join Thoughtworks because of the amazing people here. It's a place where collaboration is valued, and we learn from each other.
